Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in Central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking full-time BC/BE Anesthesiologists. Network surgical locations include Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill and Little Falls with flexible staffing options to accommodate Anesthesiologists living in Albany, Binghamton, Utica and Syracuse regions.  

$60K Residency Stipend, $200K Sign-On Bonus, $600K Compensation Package, 10+ plus weeks PTO of which up to two weeks can be converted to CME time with a $4K allowance for CME expenses, Robust Retirement Plan.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Join an established group of ~ 13 physicians and 25 CRNA’s
  • Predominant model is medical direction
  • Opportunity for solo work
  • Patient safety and quality are top priorities with meaningful staffing ratios of 1:2/1:3
  • Full spectrum case mix and diverse patient population
  • EMR-EPIC
  • Call generally 3-4 per month with post call day off
  • Nocturnist support to help reduce number of overnight shifts 
  • Opportunity to teach SRNA’s, medical students & medicine and surgery residents
  • Group Employed Model
  • Salary $600K.  This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standard
  • Residency stipend up to $60,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation. If applicable, candidate must be permitted to receive the stipend under U.S. immigration laws
  • Sign-On Bonus up to $200K

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO or MBBS
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • NYS Licensure
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification Required
  • DEA Required
