Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a rural academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an experienced Medical Physicist to join an outstanding team in the department of Radiation Oncology to expand high quality, patient-oriented care. The Bassett Healthcare Network has ASTRO-APEX Accredited radiation oncology treatment facilities in Cooperstown, and Oneonta, NY. This position will involve equal coverage of our Cooperstown and Oneonta sites with the Chief Physicist. The travel time is approximately 30 minutes between the clinics.
- Join an established group of Physicists and Dosimetrists
- Full spectrum of radiation oncology services include: o IMRT, IGRT, 3D conformal therapy, SRS, SBRT, low dose and high dose rate brachytherapy, radio embolization, and radiopharmaceuticals
- Equipment at Cooperstown Campus: o Varian Tru-Beam, Phillips Big Bore 16-slice CT simulator, Varian-BRAVOS multichannel HDR after loader, Eclipse planning system and ARIA electronic record and dosimetry services
- Equipment in Oneonta: o Varian 23ix and dosimetry services with plan for upgrade
- Salary Range: $263,003 - $337,554. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
- Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000
- Responsibilities will include quality assurance, taking part in departmental quality initiatives, overseeing and taking a role in the planning process for external beam and brachytherapy patients. This position will report to the Chief Physicist and the Chief of Radiation Oncology
